BONDED OVER BAIJIU

Baijiu Society was started by a group of friends who were literally thrown together in China over 25 years ago. A mixture of Chinese and Western guys who bonded over Baijiu while working across China.

What stuck with them most was the social connection Baijiu drinking formed and especially when Chinese people and Western visitors came together, It was a beautiful thing!

They also loved gin and vodka as well as Baijiu and they spent years wondering if a respectful, culturally blended version of Baijiu would allow new drinkers to experience its amazing flavours and aromas, in a light way and if this would then give them a new insight into the social bond which Baijiu can creates as the ultimate in shared drinking experiences, the one which brought them together over 25 years ago.

The brief was simple understand how the flavours of Baijiu are produced, do not just copy Chinese Baijiu, learn from it, love it, and pay tribute to it and see if we can make a light, mixable style in such a way that it would carry the message to new drinkers, leading them to the category as a whole.

After several years of hard work, research, and experimentation it was a fine partnership between traditional Baijiu technique, coupled with western distilling and blending which produced the results they dreamed of achieving. A balance which mirrored their friendships over time.

Baijiu Society is now a collection of over 70 like minded baijiu lovers, investors, brewers and distillers across three continents, both western and Chinese who are determined to show the world how amazing Baijiu is and how it can and will take a place in the mainstream spirit market.
